3. Data Storage

All data generated by MDX Reader is stored locally on your device only:

  • App Data: Stored in ~/Library/Application Support/MDX/
    • Search history (up to 30 entries)
    • Favorite words
    • App settings (theme, font, display preferences)
  • Access: Only accessible by you and the App

3.2 Data Control

  • You have complete control over your data
  • You can delete any data at any time through the App’s settings
  • Uninstalling the App removes all data permanently

4. How the App Works

MDX Reader is a 100% offline application:

4.1 No Network Connection

  • The App does not connect to the internet
  • No data is transmitted to our servers (we don’t have servers)
  • No third-party services are used
  • No analytics or tracking tools are integrated

4.2 File Access

  • The App only accesses files you explicitly select
  • MDX and MDD dictionary files are read for display purposes only
  • We do not modify, transmit, or share your dictionary files
  • File access is protected by macOS App Sandbox

MDX Reader does NOT use any third-party services, including:
