MusiPaper (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS application.

MusiPaper is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

  • ❌ Usage analytics or behavioral data

  • ❌ Contacts, photos, or other personal files

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The following information is stored only on your device and never leaves your iPhone/iPad:

  • ✅ Purchase Status: Whether you have unlocked the Pro version (stored via Apple’s StoreKit)
  • ✅ Save Count: Daily wallpaper save count for free tier users (stored in UserDefaults)
  • ✅ Last Reset Date: The date when the daily save count was last reset

This local data is:

  • Not accessible to us or any third parties
  • Automatically deleted if you uninstall the app
  • Not backed up to iCloud (by default)

How We Use Your Information

Since we don’t collect any personal information, there is nothing for us to use or share.

The app operates entirely on your device, using:

  • iTunes Search API: To fetch album artwork and music information from Apple’s public catalog
  • Photo Library Access: To save wallpapers to your device (only when you explicitly tap “Save”)

Third-Party Services

Apple Services

MusiPaper uses the following Apple services:

  1. iTunes Search API

    • Purpose: Fetch album artwork and metadata
    • Data Shared: Search queries (e.g., artist names)
    • Privacy: Queries are sent to Apple’s servers but are not associated with your identity
    • Policy: Apple Privacy Policy

  2. StoreKit (In-App Purchase)

    • Purpose: Process Pro version purchases
    • Data Shared: Purchase transaction data (handled entirely by Apple)
    • Privacy: We never see your payment information
    • Policy: Apple IAP Privacy

  3. Photo Library (Optional)

    • Purpose: Save wallpapers to your device
    • Access: Only when you explicitly tap “Save Wallpaper”
    • Privacy: We cannot access your existing photos; we can only save new images

No Third-Party Analytics or Advertising

We do not use:

  • ❌ Google Analytics, Firebase, or any analytics services
  • ❌ Facebook SDK or social media tracking
  • ❌ Advertising networks (AdMob, etc.)
  • ❌ Crash reporting tools that collect personal data

Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

  • Your data is protected by your device’s built-in security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
  • We have no servers, so there’s no risk of data breaches from our side
  • Your purchase status is synced via Apple’s secure infrastructure

Children’s Privacy

MusiPaper does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we don’t collect any data, the app is safe for all ages.

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

  • Delete Your Data: Uninstall the app to remove all local data
  • Reset Purchase Status: Use the “Restore Purchase” feature in the upgrade prompt
  • Revoke Photo Access: Go to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → MusiPaper → Remove Access

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

  • Updating the “Last Updated” date at the top
  • Displaying an in-app notice (for significant changes)
